latest UK mammals grants

People’s Trust for Endangered Species is pleased to announce this year’s UK mammals grants, totaling over £82,000 funded by our generous supporters.

These research projects include:

red squirrel by N Benvie Dr Lisa Collins, Queen’s University, Belfast, £9 615 for red squirrels.

Mr Neil Reid, Queen’s University, Belfast, £4 000 for Irish hares.

Mr Johnny Birks, Swift Ecology and Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, £18 595 for Bechstein’s bats.

Mr Richard Grogan, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, £5 250 for dormice.

Dr Paul O’Donoghue, University of Chester, £17 350 for wildcats.

Ms Zoe Pittaway, formerly FWAG, £12 000 for bats.

Ms Gina Rowe, Warwick Wildlife Trust, £10 582 for dormice.

mammal monitoring Detailed summaries will be available soon on our grants pages and we are hoping to run Wildlife Encounters events to visit these projects where possible, so watch this space.
