traditional orchard survey

Traditional orchards are wildlife havens. We have been locating traditional orchards in England and Wales to preserve this valuable habitat. The latest maps can be seen here.

Improving the inventory relies on volunteers checking our results on the ground, so if you are interested in orchards, local history, or the environment and would like to help, please get in touch.

If you have an orchard tell us about it and get our FREE management and wildlife booklet.

We encourage more traditional methods of orchard management, aim to raise the profile of local fruit and heritage varieties, work with many other orchard projects, and contribute to orchard conservation wherever possible.
